Columbus City Council last night voted to allocate 1 million dollars from the city’s general fund for emergency human services.

Council president Shannon Hardin says the money will go to people  who need food or housing assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic:

Hardin says distribution details are still being worked out.  Council also voted to tighten the law for getting caught carrying a gun during security checks at the Glenn airport.  Council’s  meeting was held using a remote voting system for the first time in the city’s history.
